“I am writing this letter to state why I would like to be on the Citizens Advisory Committee. Since 2006, I have been involved in Lawrence attending many community-related events because 1) I care about the City of Lawrence, the projects that will enhance the city and am interested in things that will impact the citizens in a positive manner, and 2) I would like to be part of the process working with a team of people in coming up with a strategy to “make Lawrence better” (Dan Rivera, Mayor).
It would be an honor to be chosen for the Citizens Advisory Committee, since I have experience with other organizations and teams discussing the possibility of a thought or idea, coming up with a strategy and seeing it to move forward to fruition.
It was very nice meeting people in the community and possible team members for this Committee.”
