“My name is Kiriza Zihalirwa. I am a resident of the city of Lawrence and homeowner. I moved to Lawrence last year (July 2015), and have been an active member of the community. I am involved with many local organizations: Lawrence Community Works; Friends of Lawrence Heritage State Park; Raising a Reader, as well as GroundWorks Lawrence. I am also the initiator of “RAID Parks Cleanup Initiative”, a group of local-nature-lovers (no official group) with a group principle: “If you need the change, start it”. We clean the parks, and promote the image of the brand “City of Lawrence MA” thru social media (Facebook and Twitter).
Citizens Advisory Committee is a great opportunity to be a part of an initiative aimed to the shaping the future of my city. This process, and the forthcoming outcome will ultimately impact my daily living, the future of my children, and that of many children and residents of the City of Lawrence. As a member of the community with professional experience in business management and marketing, this committee is a chance to serve my community, and promote the economic growth of Lawrence (and the region) through a sustainable development for a better future for us, our children, and the generations to come.”
